Calling for the need to focus on science education at high school level, eminent scientist and nobel laureate Sydney Altman has suggested Indian government to develop a curriculum with a view to encourage kids towards innovation.
Chennai registers top performance in CBSE exams
Girls continued to outshine boys by registering a pass percentage of 85.9 against 77.4 of boys in the Class XII exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. CBSE announced that 81 per cent students cleared the test an increase of 0.09 percent this year compared to last out of a total 637,976 students registered for this year's exam.

Education infrastructure in Bihar not meeting standards
Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari said on Wednesday that Bihar’s educational infrastructure does not measure up to its historical standards and the quality of education in the state does not fulfil the requirement of a fast developing society. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Chandragupta Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), a business school on the lines of the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Incentive to girls for secondary education approved by Indian Government
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) gave its approval today for the implementation of the centrally sponsored scheme of “Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education” with a total incurring expenditure of Rs.1500 crore during the 11th Five year Plan.
