The Basic objective of the Institute -is to develop-human resources for efficient management by imparting various management training and to conduct research and consultancy for the benefit of the Co-operative movement. The ICM conduct Management Development Programme (MDP's) and, Management Diploma Courses for the employees of State Govt. and Co-operative Organisations. At present the Institute offers Higher Diploma in Co-operative Management (HDCM), Diploma in Urban Banking and Credit, Diploma in Agriculture and Rural Development Bank besides the unique programme of Master in Business Administration (M.B.A.).The institute has adequate class rooms, for conducting M.B.A. , Diploma courses and other short term training prorammes, equipped with modern teaching and training aid, and air conditioning facility.
A well equipped computer centre with a local area net work (LAN) having 24 computers. We have acquired the latest information technology i.e. Pentium processor based server having intranetware operating system. The G-8 connectivity at the institute as a part of NCCT network which will connect the H.O. New Delhi and all the RICMs/ICMs.We have an fairly well endowed, Highly specialised and computerised Library catering to the training, research and consultancy needs of the faculty members, students and the research scholars with a total collection of about 14000 books covering different disciplines. It also subscribe to over 100 Indian and foreign journals in the field of co-operation, Agriculture, Economics, Banking, Marketing, Human Resource Development etc.
