JNU Fills Less Than 50% OBC Seats This Year
This year Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was allotted 27% OBC seats. But JNU filled only 396 out of the 683 OBC seats. In other words the university succeeded in filling up 15% out of the 27% OBC seats. Majority of the vacant seats have been allotted to general category.
TISS Offering Two-Year Master Degree Programmes
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) offering 17 master's degree programme - 2011-2013. This institute was started in 1936, formerly known as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1964, University Grants Commission (UGC) funded the TISS and since then known it deemed the status of university.It currently hosts 6 Schools, 4 Independent Centres, and 3 Resource Centres.
90% Score Has Lost Its Value
Even after five rounds of online admissions, there are still students with 90% score did not secure seat in junior colleges. Though the scores are above the cut-off point, the students either not made it to a seat in college or did not make it to the college of their seats. Once upon a time ,90% score is more than enough to get a seat in any junior college. But today the same 90% has no value.
Medical Admission Process To Government Quota Seats Postponed
The Self-Financing Medical College Managements have decided to postpone the medical admission for the government quota seats until september 13. On this day the supreme court will process the case relating to admissions .
On Tuesday , Kerala Private Medical College Managements Association held a meeting regarding the medical admission issue. Several decisions were made in the meeting.
FJYC In Maharashtra Start Offline Admissions
There about more than enough vacant seats in the city colleges.The education department decided to start offline admissions to fill up these vacant seats. One of such colleges is FJYC. FJYC on wednesday sep 1st started the its offline admission process. The college will start accepting application forms till september 3rd and will release the merit list on September 6th.
Vacant Seats In City Colleges
Good news at all those students , who have not been allotted any seats yet. As well as students from IGCSE board ,who have not applied yet ,as their results have been announced in August. There about 50,000 vacant seats in the colleges of Mumbai city. These students can apply for these vacant seats ofline. The offline admission commences from september 1 to 4th.
Engineering Seats Vacant Across The State Of Gujarat
Three admission rounds have been conducted in all engineering colleges across the state of Gujarat. The last round of admissions was on wednesday. After three rounds , about 1500 seats are still vacant. Though the admission process in government colleges are completed, the self-finance institutes still remain available.
Junior Colleges Admit More Than 50% Students In Class XI
The admissions for Std XI is in full swing. The fourth round of admissions have begun.As per the statistics gathered by the education department more than 50% students have been admitted in Std XI as a whole.
Drastic Increase in Rural Students Joining Engineering Course
This year in Tamil Nadu there is an increase in number of rural students joining engineering courses.Nearly 70% of the students joined engineering colleges are from rural areas. The single window counselling under the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), allotted seats to 48,200 rural boys and 27,900 rural girls this year.
