Department of Law, Univ. of Jammu
The Department of Law came into being in 1969 to impart legal education. Initially the department imparted instructions only to L.L.B. students but subsequently it adopted L.L.M., Doctorate in Law and Post Graduate Diploma in Criminology and Police Science. The Department of Law has an efficient regular faculty and the students are absorbed in teaching, judiciary, and other administrative posts. The post graduate diploma in Human Rights as well as 5 years integrated law course after 10+2 are on the anvil.
